When Metro Sign Co. was contacted by Global Creative Solutions Group to produce updated signage for their building, the team was excited about the opportunity.
Global Creative Solutions Group has taken residence in the beautiful La Conner Red Barn, which was previously the office of Allen D. Elliott, an Architect for Skagit County.
The new to Global Creative Solutions Group space is to be used as a hub for community artists, a global gallery and the company’s headquarters for business consulting. The existing monument was custom built by Allen D. Elliott. Its fabrication consisted of a concrete pillar in a triangle shape that was sheeted and formed with stainless steel and foam dimensional text attached to the faces. The sign was built 15+ years ago and was starting to show its age. The client was looking to have new branding added to the refinished faces. To make sure the signage lasts just as long if not longer, we made some changes to the original design.
Project Concerns & Solutions
By adding a darker color to the logo and text, the contrast allows increased visibility.
Painted aluminum components to reduce weathering and fading overtime.
A stronger more durable material will allow end users to clean the signage with a more abrasive cleaning solution and a pressure washer.
