Renee Erickson Debuts Her Laurelhurst Bistro, named after her mother. When Renee Erickson’s Sea Creatures restaurant group took over a number of the restaurants formerly owned by Josh Henderson, Erickson and business partner Jeremy Price decided to provide updates to their new establishments, making them fit with the Sea Creatures vibe.
Metro Sign Co. produced the beautiful Saint Helens letters back in 2016 for the Huxley Wallace Collective and were asked to help with the signage revamp at Shirlee. Loving what they already had, the team decided to reuse some of the letters and re-purpose them into the new signage.
In addition to the existing, some new full fabricated marquee letters were created. All letters were custom formed by hand, painted with carbon black and have white LED bulbs. When it came time to install the letters, it was decided to keep with the clean look that Saint Helens provided and mount the letters flush to the building. The facade, just as eye catching as before, shines bright as NE 45th St turns into Sand Point Way NE in Seattle.
